Wonder in Science Conference to be held Feb. 20-21, 2026

Join us for the Wonder in Science Conference! This two-day event brings high school students from across Nebraska and the Midwest region together to explore interests in science careers. Register by Feb. 1, 2026

NJAS Science Fairs

Know a student who wants to dig deeper into their curiosity of science? Nebraska Junior Academy of Science (NJAS) Science, Engineering, and Agriculture Research Competitions for 6-12th grade students will be held across Nebraska in this spring.

Science Chat Specials 2025-2026 Series

Introduce your students to the work of scientists by learning from the scientists themselves! Science Chat Specials are Virtual Learning Programs that are live and interactive, focusing on Nebraska science phenomena. Due to the generous support of the Rogers Foundation and the Morrill Hall Scholarship Fund, all Nebraska schools qualify for FREE Science Chat Specials for the 2025-2026 school year.

Teacher Opportunities


Do you have a student interested in teaching  - or one that you think has the skills to be an educator?  Please nominate a student who has expressed interest in teaching Agricultural Education or Skilled and Technical Sciences OR who you believe has the qualities of an amazing teacher! Nominate students for Teach Ag or Teach STS at https://go.unl.edu/tagged. Your encouragement and your faith in a student can make all of the difference!

Teacher Recruitment and Retention

This grant program provides $2,500 retention grants to teachers in their 2nd, 4th, and 6th year of teaching. This is for total years of teaching experience. It also provides a one-time $5,000 high-need recruitment grant to teachers who “obtain an endorsement in special education, mathematics, science, or technology.

Application will close at 11:59pm December 17, 2026
